Terms of service

The agreement between you and Letterly for using letterly.pro: what Letterly does, what you can expect from it, what it expects from you, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Effective
25 September 2026
Operated by
Vicente Évora, sole trader, Portugal

1Who we are and what these terms cover

Letterly (letterly.pro) is operated by Vicente Évora, a sole trader based in Portugal (“Letterly”, “we”). These terms apply when you create an account or use Letterly in any way. By doing so you accept them, and you confirm you have read the Privacy policy, which explains how we handle your data. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Letterly.

If you use Letterly on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these terms for it.

2What Letterly does

Letterly turns newsletter editions into social media posts. It reads your RSS feed, writes posts with AI in the voice of a persona you choose, schedules them and, depending on the settings you pick, publishes them to X, LinkedIn, Threads and Facebook. It also offers on-demand conversion, a post composer, image extraction and generation, and analytics.

Letterly keeps changing, so features will be added, changed or removed. If a change significantly reduces what the Pro plan includes, we will tell you in advance.

3Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
  • Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep your email address current, because that is how we reach you.
  • Your account is personal. Don’t share it, and don’t create accounts in bulk or by automated means.
  • Keep your password safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account, so tell us straight away at vicente@letterly.pro if you think someone else has access to it.

4Connected accounts and other platforms

When you connect a social account, you authorise Letterly to publish posts to it on your behalf and to read the data needed to report on them. Threads and Facebook connect through our provider Post for Me, whose name appears on the permission screen. You can disconnect any account at any time in Settings, under Integrations.

You are responsible for following the rules of every platform you connect, including X, LinkedIn, Meta and your newsletter platform. Those platforms are not part of Letterly. They can change their features, prices or rules, limit or suspend accounts, or stop working with services like Letterly, and some of Letterly’s features may stop working as a result. We are not responsible for their decisions, but we will tell you when a change affects you and do what we reasonably can to keep things running.

5Your content

You own your content: your newsletter, the posts Letterly writes for you, your edits, your images and your logo. As between you and Letterly, what Letterly generates for you is yours to use as you like, subject to any rights other people have in material you supplied.

You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, process, adapt and publish your content only as needed to run Letterly for you, including sending it to the providers listed in the Privacy policy. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for posts that were already published to a platform.

You confirm that you have the rights to what you give Letterly, including the newsletter you connect and the posts you use as persona examples.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely and without owing you anything.

6AI-written posts and publishing

Posts are written by AI. They can contain mistakes, outdated or wrong facts, or wording that resembles other text. You are responsible for every post published from your account, including posts that go out automatically on Light Touch or Full Auto. Review what Letterly writes, choose the approval settings that suit you, and use the emergency stop if something looks wrong.

A persona describes a writing style. You may base one on public posts by other writers, but you must not use Letterly to pass yourself off as someone else, to copy their posts, or to suggest they endorse you.

Letterly does not guarantee any result, such as more followers, subscribers or revenue.

7Acceptable use

You agree not to use Letterly to:

  • publish anything illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing or sexually explicit, or anything that infringes someone else’s rights
  • send spam, fake engagement or manipulate a platform, for example by posting the same content across accounts you don’t control
  • impersonate any person or organisation, or mislead people about who wrote a post
  • spread malware, phishing links or scams, including through tracked links
  • break the terms of any platform you connect
  • get around usage limits, share an account, or resell Letterly without our written permission
  • scrape, copy, reverse engineer or overload Letterly, or try to reach data that isn’t yours

We may remove content or pause publishing that breaks these rules, and suspend accounts that do (section 10).

8Plans, trials and payment

Letterly has a free plan and one paid plan, Pro. The free plan includes one conversion and one full agent run, within the limits shown in the app. Pro costs $29 a month, plus any tax, and includes every feature within the fair-use limits shown in the app, such as a daily limit on generated images.

Payments are handled by Polar, which acts as merchant of record: Polar sells you the subscription, takes the payment and handles tax and invoices, and its own terms apply to the purchase. We never see your card details.

Pro renews automatically every month until you cancel. A free trial lasts seven days and becomes a paid subscription when it ends, unless you cancel before then.

We may change the price of Pro. We will tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, and you can cancel before it does. If you have a discount, such as the founding member price, it lasts as long as the offer says.

If a payment fails, Polar may try again, and your account may move to the free plan until the payment goes through.

9Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel Pro at any time in Settings, under Billing. Cancelling ends Pro straight away and moves your account to the free plan. Because it takes effect at once, we don’t refund the rest of a month you have paid for, unless the law requires a refund. Check your calendar afterwards and delete any scheduled posts you no longer want published.

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK, you keep your legal right to withdraw from the purchase within 14 days. Pro starts straight away at your request, so if you withdraw, you may be charged for the days you already used, as the law allows. To withdraw, email us or contact Polar.

Deleting your account does not cancel Pro on its own. Cancel Pro in Settings, under Billing, before you delete your account.

10Suspension and ending the agreement

You can stop using Letterly and delete your account at any time in Settings, under Security.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if you don’t pay, if the law requires it, or if your use puts Letterly, its users or its providers at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you the chance to fix the problem.

If we close your account for any other reason, or stop running Letterly, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice so you can export your data, and refund any period you paid for and could not use.

11Availability

Letterly is run by one person and depends on other services. We work to keep it running and your posts going out on time, but we don’t promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that every post will publish at exactly the scheduled time. We may pause it for maintenance, at quiet times where we can.

12Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for deliberate misconduct or gross negligence.

Otherwise, Letterly is provided as it is. We are not liable for losses caused by the platforms you post to, by posts you approved or allowed to publish automatically, or by events outside our reasonable control. We are not liable for lost profits, revenue, followers, data or goodwill.

Our total liability for anything arising from these terms or from Letterly is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if that is more.

If you use Letterly as a consumer, these limits apply only as far as consumer law allows, and nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.

13Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Letterly changes. If a change matters, we will email account holders at least 30 days before it applies. If you don’t agree with it, you can cancel and delete your account before then. Using Letterly after the change means you accept it.

14Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and disputes go to the courts of Portugal. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and can bring a claim there.

Please email us first, because most problems can be solved that way. If you are a consumer, you can also turn to an alternative dispute resolution body, such as CNIACC, the Portuguese national consumer arbitration centre (cniacc.pt).

15General

  • These terms and the Privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and Letterly about using it.
  • If any part of these terms can’t be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • If we don’t enforce a right straight away, we haven’t given it up.
  • You can’t transfer your account or these terms to anyone else without our permission. We may transfer them to whoever takes over Letterly, and will tell you if we do.
  • These terms are written in English. If they are translated, the English version applies unless the law says otherwise.

16Contact

Questions about these terms go to vicente@letterly.pro, and you get a reply within 24 hours. See also the Privacy policy.
